Center Stage Kids, is an intensive 3-week educationally based summer camp that teaches kids the many details involved in putting together a professional musical theater production. The camp is perfect for beginners, stage veterans, and those in between! We offer a wide range of material for our campers with the intent for them to grow to become the best they can be. The camp focuses on building character, honing theatrical skills, enhancing self-esteem, and forming new friendships through acting, dancing, music, stage-craft, and a shared love of the theater. Center Stage Theatricals takes great pride in the fact that we produce shows and give opportunities that the kids cannot get with other performing arts groups in the area. Arts education develops self-esteem, appreciation of the work of others, self-expression, cooperation with others, and critical thinking skills, skills vital to the success of our future leaders --- our children.

About the Musical 13 Workshop:
A grown-up story about growing up!
When his parents get divorced and he's forced to move from New York to a small town in Indiana, Evan Goldman just wants to make friends and survive the school year. Easier said than done.
The star quarterback is threatening to ruin his life and his only friend, Patrice, won't talk to him. The school freak sees an opportunity for blackmail and someone is spreading the nastiest rumors.
With an unforgettable rock score from Tony Award-winning composer Jason Robert Brown, "13" is a hilarious, high-energy musical for all ages about discovering that cool is where you find it, and sometimes where you least expect it.
Audition tip: sing something you know and that shows off your voice.
If we think you are right for a particular part, we'll have you learn and sing from the show.
The age limit for auditions is 11 and up. 13 is a musical comedy, it DOES deal with some real teen issues about parents, divorce, dating, kissing, popularity, friendships, betrayal, making-out, and virginity. If this were a film, it would be rated PG. .
Tuition for the workshop is $375 and everyone who registers and auditions will be cast. (Those who attended the full Triple Threat Workshop can have that tuition deducted from the musical 13 workshop tuition.)
